Jonathan Jossel, originally from South Africa and raised in London, relocated to Las Vegas in 2007 to oversee Tamares Real Estate's Las Vegas properties, including the Plaza Hotel & Casino. He played a pivotal role in managing the Plaza's extensive renovation project in 2010/2011, which transformed the hotel's rooms, casino floor, and public spaces, introducing acclaimed dining options such as Oscar's steakhouse under the iconic glass dome. In 2014, Jonathan assumed the role of CEO, becoming one of the youngest non-restricted gaming licenses in Las Vegas.

As CEO, Jonathan has been dedicated to revitalizing the Plaza's brand, blending modern aesthetics, enhanced guest amenities, and personalized customer service to offer a classic Vegas experience. Under his leadership, the Plaza has undergone significant changes, including casino floor renovations, rooftop pool transformations, the creation of 100 Luxe Guest Rooms and Suites, convention space renovations, and the revival of rodeo events at the Plaza's Core Arena.

Jonathan's dynamic leadership has propelled the Plaza to continued growth and remarkable success. He has infused renewed vigor into this historic property, ensuring it evolves while preserving its status as a downtown Las Vegas icon.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jonathan is an active supporter of downtown Las Vegas's development and revitalization, serving on the boards of the Fremont East Entertainment District, Downtown Vegas Alliance, and the Nevada Resort Association. He resides in downtown Las Vegas with his wife and three children.
