Ingredients:
• 1 “green” ham (Heath’s was about 8 pounds)
• Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ Rub
• 6.5 ounces cherry preserves
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons orange juice
• 2 tablespoons Heath Riles BBQ Cherry Apple Habanero BBQ Glaze
Directions:
1. Stoke the Weber Searwood or your pellet grill with Royal Oak Hickory-Blended Charcoal Hardwood Pellets and fire it up to 300℉.
2. Take the ham from its packaging and pat it dry. Lay it on a baking rack set over a baking tray. Use your knife to cut a crosshatch into the meat to soak the glaze into every bite. Season the ham on all sides with Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ Rub.
3. Set the Cherry Glazed Smoked Ham on the grill and let it smoke for 2 hours before checking it. Set it back on the pit for 2 more hours before glazing.
4. To make the homemade cherry glaze, combine the cherry preserves, brown sugar, orange juice, and Heath Riles BBQ Cherry Apple Habanero BBQ Glaze in a small pan.
5. Set the ham in a large pan and liberally baste it with the homemade cherry glaze. Place the Cherry Glazed Smoked Ham back on the Weber Searwood XL 600 for 45 more minutes. At this point, the ham should be at 140℉, giving you a total cook time of about 4 hours. Remove from heat and let rest before carving.
