About 30 minutes outside of Kisumu, Kenya is a sacred shrine for the Luo people. The Luo people are quite numerous in Western Kenya and they also still practice polygamy. I heard that there are still Luo elders who reside there, performing rituals and dances, trying to balance their traditions in the modern times. I decided to go and visit the shrine to see if I could join a dance or two.
