I made a bed side / desk lamp in modern industrial style. I used Walnut for the lamp arm and maple for the base. This has modern elements like the angles, Edison style bulb and the brushed metal holder also has traditional elements like wood inlay. It was a lot of fun to make and surprisingly went pretty smoothly. I debated whether to add the lamp shade that came with the holder in the end decided against it as I like the raw industrial look.
