Leonardo DiCaprio, The Great Gatsby - Leonardo DiCaprio reunites with his Romeo + Juliet director Baz Luhrmann on the much-anticipated cinematic treat, The Great Gatsby.

Taking on the role of author F. Scott Fitzgerald's playboy Jay Gatsby (originally made famous on film by Robert Redford) was not only a challenge for DiCaprio but an honour.

Tribute.ca spoke with Leonardo in New York about reuniting with Baz, taking on the iconic role, repeating the past and his upcoming fifth collaboration with director Martin Scorsese.

The Great Gatsby movie synopsis:

Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire), a young man from Minnesota, moves to New York to learn about the bond business. He rents a house in the swanky West Egg district of Long Island. He eventually meets his neighbor Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and gets caught up in his world of extravagant parties and people.

Based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, this story deals with the allure of fame and fortune, as well as the unbreakable bond of first love.
