When do the cherry blossoms bloom in Seattle?
The cherry blossoms in Seattle can bloom between mid-March and early April. The peak blooms for cherry blossom season varies each year depending on the weather.
1. The University of Washington - The Quad
Address: Pierce Ln, Seattle, WA 98195
One of the most popular spots to see the cherry blossoms in Seattle is the Quad at the University of Washington. These Toshino cherry trees blooming framed against the collegiate style buildings of the college make this Seattle location picturesque. These cherry blossoms are around 90 years old.
2. Kobe Terrace/Danny Woo International District Community Garden
Address: 650 South Main St, Seattle, WA 98104
This Seattle park is truly a hidden gem. Located in Chinatown-International District and the freeway, the terrace hillside makes it a unique location to visit the cherry blossoms in Seattle. The Mt. Fuji cherry trees were a gift from Seattle’s sister of Kobe, Japan.
3. Bellevue Downtown Park
Address: 10201 NE 4th St, Bellevue, WA 98004
If you’re spending some time in Bellevue during cherry blossom season, make sure you stop by Bellevue Downtown Park. This 21-acre park features cherry blossoms at the Northwest corner near the Memorial Arch and the Piloti sculpture.
4. Cedar River
Address: 211 Burnett Ave N, Renton, WA 98057
Located right on the Cedar River and the Renton Senior Activity Center are cherry blossom trees. The Cedar River Trail is over 17 miles long and it runs right along the river.
5. Liberty Park
Address: 1101 Bronson Way N, Renton, WA 98057
If you’re exploring Renton or stopping by the Renton Library, you’ll most likely see the cherry blossom trees at Liberty Park. While there are only a few trees at this park, they’re still beautiful! This 12-acre park is Renton’s oldest city park.
6. Washington Park Arboretum
Address: 2300 Arboretum Dr E, Seattle, WA 98112
If you're looking to take a nature walk and soak in the cherry blossoms, stop by Washington Park Arboretum. One location to see the cherry blossoms is near the Graham Visitors Center. We parked at the parking lot closest to the visitor center and walked on Azalea way to see the cherry blossoms.
