Voting rights isn’t just a national issue, it’s a local one. That’s why NDTC assembled a panel of voting rights experts to discuss how voting rights legislation will change your campaign, and how you can adapt your campaign message and plan to empower voters and fight voter suppression in your community.

Panelists include:
Rep. Joyce Beatty (OH-3), Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus
Jasmine Burney-Clark, Political Consultant & Founder of Equal Ground
Melissa Goldberg, NDTC Trainer and Training Director for the Ohio Democratic Party

No matter your role in the political ecosystem, how you talk about voting rights and what you do to help fight for those rights will affect your campaign and community.

Voting rights are under attack by Republican state legislatures across the country. Last year, Georgia and Texas passed voting restrictions into law with the aim of limiting access to vote-by-mail and early voting. These efforts disproportionately impact marginalized groups, including low-income folks and people of color.

We need local leaders to step up and organize voters in their community to ensure everyone has equal and fair access to the ballot box.
