Showing Off Our Beautiful 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 Convertible - *RARE CLASSIC MUSCLE CAR*

At the height of the "Muscle Car" era, General Motors produced exactly 277,380 of these first generation (1967-1969) Firebirds under their Pontiac brand. They mainly produced 4 different engine models for the Firebird (230 CID, 326 CID, 350 CID and 400 CID), but there were several options for certain engine models. For example, while the 400 model in this video was basically a base 400 model, they also produced 2 other versions of the 400 engine (the 400 H.O. and 400 Ram Air). These options gave the engines more horsepower.

This 1968 Firebird was one of the 107,112 that were produced for that year, 11,000 of which were 400 models with automatic transmission. Of the total number of Firebirds that were produced that year, only 16,960 of them were convertibles. Considering the fact that this car is a 400 model and a convertible, it makes it even more rare. While I don't know the exact number, I'd imagine that the number of 400 models that were also convertibles falls somewhere between 2,000-3,000.

Btw, this video was recorded back in the fall of 2021 (just a few months after we had purchased this car). We were able to update a few things inside of the car and under the hood, which is pretty much in the final product that you see in this video.
