🚩 Hull geometry - Part 8
🔸 Bow: forward end of the yacht.
🔸 Keel line: intersection of the hull's longitudinal plane of symmetry with the bottom of the hull.
🔸 Stem: extreme forward end of the yacht from the keel line to the top of the hull.
🔸 Deck: a continuous floor.
🔸 Freeboard deck: uppermost deck with permanent means for closing all openings.
🔸 Weather deck: uppermost deck with no overhead protection.
🔸 Sheer line: projection on the hull's plane of symmetry of the intersection between the deck and the topside of the hull.
🔸 Stern: extreme after end of the yacht from the keel line to the top of the hull.
🔸 Transom: a type of stern profile in which the hull terminates abruptly in a transverse flat or convex surface. It may be vertical or raking aft or forward.
