Disconnect the battery and make sure the vehicle is parked on a stable, level surface. 2. Disassemble the parts: Remove the cab and body from the frame. Remove the wheels, tires, and axles. Disassemble the suspension, engine, and transmission. 3. Overhaul the engine: Remove the cylinder head and inspect the valves, pistons, and cylinders. Clean and replace or repair damaged parts as needed. Reassemble and torque the engine to specifications. 4. Overhaul the transmission: Remove the transmission and inspect the gears, bearings, and shafts. Clean and replace worn or damaged parts. Reassemble and torque the drive to specifications. 5. Overhaul the axle: Disassemble the axle shaft and inspect the bearings, seals, and gears. Clean and replace damaged parts. Reassemble and torque the axle to specifications. 6. Overhaul the suspension: Inspect the leaf springs, shock absorbers, and bushings. Replace or repair damaged parts. Torque the suspension components to specifications. 7. Check the electrical system: Inspect the wiring, connectors, and electrical components. Clean and replace or repair damaged parts as necessary. Test the electrical system to ensure proper operation. 8. Reassemble: Mount the engine, transmission, and axles to the frame. Mount the cab and body. Install the wheels, tires, and suspension components. 9. Finish: Fill the engine with oil and coolant. Connect the battery and check the fluid level. Start the engine and test the vehicle to ensure proper operation. 10. Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to verify the quality of the overhaul process.
