Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Horowpothana Pradeshiya Sabha, Mr. Tharanga Sampath, stated that the tank had been severely damaged in the past due to good weather conditions and that since the outlet of the tank is not sufficient compared to the existing embankment of the tank, it is hoped to investigate the relevant capacity in the future and construct an outlet. The currently cut embankment will be reconstructed.

වැව කපා නොදැමූ අතර, සියලු ජලය බැස ගිය අතර, අනාගතයේදී මහ වැව හරහා වගා කරන කුඹුරුවලට ජලය සැපයීමට අවශ්‍ය බැවින්, හොරොව්පොතාන ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාව, හමුදාව සහ ප්‍රදේශවාසීන් එක්ව, ගලෙන්බිදුණුවැව හුරුළුවැව භාර වාරිමාර්ග ඉංජිනේරු දසුන් තිලකරත්න මහතාගේ උපදෙස් හා මැදිහත්වීම මත වැව් බැම්ම ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීමේ කටයුතු (03) ආරම්භ කරන ලදී.

මෙම උත්සවයේදී අදහස් දැක්වූ හොරොව්පොතාන ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ සභාපති තරංග සම්පත් මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කළේ, යහපත් කාලගුණික තත්ත්වයන් හේතුවෙන් වැවට අතීතයේ දී දැඩි ලෙස හානි සිදුවී ඇති බවත්, වැවේ පවතින බැම්මට සාපේක්ෂව වැවේ පිටවන ස්ථානය ප්‍රමාණවත් නොවන බැවින්, අනාගතයේදී අදාළ ධාරිතාව විමර්ශනය කර පිටවන ස්ථානයක් ඉදිකිරීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වන බවත්ය. දැනට කපා ඇති බැම්ම ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කරනු ලැබේ.
