This video shows how I built a container pond with a bog filter. Below are a list of the materials I used.
This video shows how I clean these filters- • Patio pond maintenance
Large plastic container
Small plastic container (10% volume of large one)
Various plumbing/ tubing (I used 20mm (3/4") & 25mm (1") on this build,I also used 90mm (3.5") stormwater pipe to create the planters for the pots along the verandah, this is an extra though and not necessary)
-90mm (3.5") stormwater pipe & two end caps
-25mm (1") bulkhead fitting (https://amzn.to/3Yn2JG1)
-25mm (1") threaded pipe (although I used an adaptor that allowed me to use 25mm pressure pipe, but this is easier)
Timber to support the bog filter and clad the containers (used mostly old pallets)
-300 litre per hour pump - (https://ebay.us/EG4kfZ) (if just doing the bog filter on top)
-I used a 1000 litre per hour pump as i had increased head pressure and added flow for the pipes along the verandah. This is the pump I used - (https://ebay.us/XhnzeX)
One old garden pot to sit the pump in
Course filter sponge (https://amzn.to/3We3LT5)
