This is perhaps my most favorite Bee Gees song of all time. It was a medium size hit in 1975, and very highly underrated! The combination of regular voice and falsettos is amazing. This version has a more formal intro, a vocal surprise towards the end, and a cold fade. This video clip is the only known one for this song. They never played this song live, as far as I know, probably due to the complexity of the vocals. Regarding the title, they wanted a woman’s name added to the lyrics. “Fanny” was the name of the housekeeper in Miami where they were living when they recorded the accompanying album “Main Course.” I hope you enjoy this new mix and video!
