Watching hummingbirds dance in Mindo Cloud Forest, Ecuador

In Mindo Cloud Forest in Ecuador we watched hummingbirds dance through the air, caught a tiny yellow basket that carried us across the tops of the trees into Nambillo Cloud Forest Reserve. We wandered from waterfall to waterfall and got caught in the rain.

Before Coronavirus turned the world upside down, we were getting ready to head off on a three-year round-the-world adventure. A Mid-life Gap Year, you might say, but spread over three because one simply isn't long enough. We got rid of all our stuff, rented out our home and had mapped out our first year of adventure.

But then the world went into lockdown. Time for Plan B.

We bought a 4WD Mitsubishi Delica and made our way around Australia. We spent two years travelling around Australia.

Now that the world has opened, we're back to travelling the world.
