Clinical psychologist, Walter was paying more than $3,000 a month for his office in Los Angeles, and that didn't even include parking! Finally fed up with the insane price and the infamous traffic, he and his wife, Marcia, decided to build the perfect office accessory dwelling unit right in their backyard.

Their designer, Daniel Jansenson, thought of everything when creating this stunning 300 sq ft unit. They incorporated a skylight for extra brightness and made the walls extra thick to ensure complete quiet and privacy for his clients.

Being avid gardeners, the couple were worried about losing precious garden space, but adding a rooftop garden turned out to be the perfect solution. The space is now reserved for their more sun-hungry plants, like their citrus trees! This project ended up costing them $157K and their monthly payments for the project are surely more manageable than the $3,000 that they paid for the old office.
