First coat of Toon Brite Protective Clear Coat on a 1999 Glastron SX 195 with moderate oxidation. Surface prep was done with Kaboom Oxy Cleaner and a blue scrubby followed by denatured alcohol wipe down to remove wax residue then canned air to blow off the towel fibers and dust. Use a respirator if applying this coating in a garage.
The clear coat was applied with a six inch foam roller and a two inch for trimming around parts I didn't want coated. The square foam brushes leave too many streaks and I dint recommend those except for the tightest spots. The coating looks a little bubbled as it goes on but those absorb and the dried surface looks like freshly fired glazed ceramic. Stunning and easy to apply.
Lay the coated surface down gently with the damp roller soon after applying the coating. Be careful to avoid drips and lines by not letting the roller get too saturated. In fact, switch to a fresh roller foam in the middle of the job.
DO NOT GO OVER THE SURFACE AGAIN AFTER IT HAS SET AND IS TACKY TO THE TOUCH. This is critical. If you make a mistake with a drip or line, leave it. The coating is readily removed with acetone and a little elbow grease. Then just touch the area up after the coating has cured for at least 8 hours. If you try to lay down tacky coating by going over it again with a brush or roller, you will make things much worse. Trust me on this one.
Next, I am going to apply it to the heavily oxidize fiberglass front of my Keystone Passport Ultralight RV. It should be ideal and will rescue the decals that are just beginning to peel.
