Symonds Yat turned out the be the perfect place to base ourselves for a 4 night stay and explore Wye Valley and beyond. With it's picturesque location it's no wonder this was the location of the UK's first Tourist Destination. In 1745 a rector from Ross-on-Wye, Dr John Egerton, was the first to build a boat especially to take his guests on excursions down the Wye. Why not join us as we explore this wonderful area and discovery why it was so popular all those years ago.
