Seen here is a ride on a 4 train, operated by R142, bound for Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.
Due to track replacement, 3 and 4 trains weren’t running to New Lots Avenue. 3 trains ran from Harlem-148 Street to Brooklyn College-Flatbush Avenue via the 2 line. 4 trains ran between Woodlawn and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center. Passengers who want service to New Lots Avenue would take the 2 or 3 trains to Franklin Avenue for free shuttle bus service, making 3 and 4 train stops to New Lots Avenue.
In this video, I got me an R142 coming into Woodlawn since the station would most likely be abandoned first since it would be the next train to leave to head downtown to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center. Train service wasn’t all backed up for this ride, but we did had to wait a while for dispatch to make us move since we left a bit early from Woodlawn, plus we had to make connections with arriving trains along the way. I was hoping more of an R142A, but an R142 was the closest I can get since I didn’t want to wait too long for the R142A to come in, and wanted to get out of there without any harm. Also, when trains do terminate at Atlantic Avenue, they would have to crossover to the other platform to get to terminate, but it terminated on the 4 train platform as per usual since it was an island platform.
In the end, it was in a hurry to leave since it didn’t had a lot of time to get cleaned, so it left straight away from Atlantic Avenue and headed back to Manhattan from there.
Enjoy!
