I took this tour solo, driving along the Montreal-Quebec City-Tadoussac route along the scenic St. Lawrence river, totaling 1,005 km one way. Although it's not the regular whale watching season, my boatmates and I were fortunate enough to spot 3 humpbacks (2 juveniles and 1 adult) on the Saguenay St. Lawrence Marine Mark, as well as several idle harbor seals around the mesmerizing Saguenay Fjord.
The zodiac belongs to the Croisières AML, the Large maritime cruise company in Canada. The Marine park excursion has two launch sites: one on the Baie-Sainte-Catherine, the other across the river on the Tadoussac side. The launch timings are the same for each.
This video captures the drive up as well as part of the boat ride and the whales surfacing to breathe. Keep your eyes and ears peeled!
