Casio W800 Watch Varieties

I've already made videos featuring two of these watches but now that I've collected the other three colors, here's a quick review. At the end of the formal review I include a little demonstration of how I modified these watches so that they now have countdown timers.

The watches featured in this video include the W800H-1A, W800HM-7AV, W800HG-9A, W800HM-2A and W800HM-3A. I'm aware of one other version of this watch which has a negative LCD. Although this negative LCD version is readily available at some of the local Walmart stores around here I decided not to buy it. In general, I find it difficult to see reverse LCD screens unless I'm using the watch in the best lighting conditions.

The basic features of the W800H watches are: Local day/date and time in a 12-hour or 24-hour display. One daily alarm with an optional snooze mode. Hourly chime. 24-hour stopwatch. Dual Time mode. LED backlight. 10-year battery (Lithium CR2025). 100-meter water resistance. The watch uses module 3240 and the full instruction manual is available for download from Casio's website.
