DJI’s new Mavic 4 Pro isn’t just a small upgrade — it’s a big leap forward for serious aerial creators. For the first time, all three cameras support true 10-bit D-Log, including the long tele lens that was previously unusable for professional work. Add real vertical shooting, a completely redesigned 360° rotating gimbal, and a powerful new RC Pro 2 controller with a 7-inch Mini-LED display — and this drone is clearly gunning for high-end content creators.

In this hands-on first-look review, I compare it directly to the Mavic 3 Pro, discuss all the major upgrades, and share some of the surprising downsides — including the lack of ProRes recording and heavy codec issues that slowed down post-production even on an M2 Max MacBook Pro.
