Beneteau First 24, 1985. Diggity has been much upgraded in recent years including new engine in 2018, recent sprayhood and stack pack mainsail cover. She also has Harken self tailing Winches, Spinlock XT rope clutches and tiller extension. 2020 survey available too!
RECENT WORKS & UPGRADES
Hull clean and antifoul (March 2022)
Outboard service performed by Brightlingsea Boat Park and Ride Ltd (February 2022, the outboard has not been used since)
Self-draining gas locker installed (Patrick Tanner). A gas safety inspection/certification was then performed by Steve Lomas of Lomas Leisure Gas.
Lower pintle on rudder repaired as per survey, new seal to forward hatch, winches serviced (replacing springs, pawls and bearings), pulpit feet fitted by larger backing plates.
Recent mainsheet, topping lift and traveller sheets.
Electrical upgrade, by N1 Autoelectrics of Brightlingsea , which included rewiring, replacement battery charger,new ship to shore connection, cabin lights at a cost of around £700
REMARKS
"Diggity" was purchased by her present owners in 2020 and a professional survey was carried out (copy available). Great first boat or ideal if you are downsizing! She sails very well and is easy to handle as all lines have been lead back to the cockpit. She has lots to offer including recent engine, sprayhood and stack-pack!
Built in 1985, GRP construction with white topsides and off-white superstructure with Beneteau markings, fin keel, transom hung rudder, self draining aft cockpit with tiller steering, fractional Bermudan sloop rig with 5 berth interior layout and around 5’9” headroom.
