Wine Country Filters

This is part of an extended test of filter systems run by On Landscape magazine.
The problems with the screw were initially thought to be a manufacturing fault but the supplier would not replace the part. However, the screw was a simple insert and so we bought a new, high quality insert and threaded knob. We used loctite to fix the insert in place (a solid fit) and found the tightest threaded knob possible (out of normal variations in the 50 we had bought). The issue persisted and so we are happy to say the issues we had are almost certainly common to all of these filters. Careful use will mean the impact can be minimised as we have talked to about 10 people who use the system who have said so. Over half have said they have been wary of ensuring the clamp is very tight and take care when inserting filters etc.
After posting this again (I took it down for a while) I've just looked around the various youtube videos etc and, guess what? After the abuse Wine Country gave me for doing this review and saying there was nothing wrong, they've introduced a grooved adapter... However it looks like it's only for the 150mm system

Now there will still be problems with the fit at the other end but this will make things a lot better. I'm not sure why they couldn't have agreed that there was a possible issue and said they'd look into it...
However, if you want to buy the 100mm system it looks like they are still using the non-grooved adapters. Hmmm
