She is the scion of a proud, tall guru parampara (her Guru being none other than the much respected, Padmabhushan, Dr. M.L.Vasanthakumari) but she has evolved and grown much taller, entirely because the leit motif in her music is her infinite capacity to never lose direction, concentrating exclusively on the pertinent and eschewing irrelevance.
