A crowd of angry Bosnian women and war invalids Tuesday attacked an international envoy, denting his car before turning on police trying to restrain them.
The protestors are angry at the international community's failure to honour promises made in the Dayton peace accord and the division of Bosnia in general.
The Srebrenica women are also demanding information on the fate of their men who went missing after a Serb Army offensive on Srebrenica in 1995.
Brandishing copies of the Geneva convention a crowd of angry Srebrenica women and invalids attacked an international envoy Tuesday.
The deputy High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Steiner, and his white B-M-W were attacked as he left his building.
Steiner is deputy to Carl Bildt, the senior civilian administrator of the Bosnian peace process.
The women threw sticks, umbrellas and stones at him.
Bosnian police intervened and after ten minutes managed to make the crowd move away from the car, but the women then turned on them.
The women were demanding to know the fate of their men who went missing after a Serb Army offensive on Srebrenica in 1995.
They also shouted that they weren't happy with the growing division of Bosnia into Serb and Muslim-Croat regions.
Steiner was unhurt, but the car was badly dented.
