Recorded in Bamako, January 2008 by Gerhard Kero & Ulli Sanou (beatfactory). In the heart of the Manden, south of Bamako located heartland of the medieval kingdom of Mali, the Maninka dance the Madan. This rhythm forms a tandem with the Urukutu, the change always takes place from Madan to Urukutu, never the other way around.
