Concert of Europe | European History | Lectures by Waqas Aziz

Concert of Europe was focused on maintaining peace in Europe, crushing revolutionary movements, discussing future of France, and meeting periodically to settle international disputes. However, Great Britain didn't approve some of these objectives. She introduced non-intervention policy and meeting of alliance only when there was a grave problem. This concert of Europe was held at different occasions. Congress of Aachen, congress of Troppau, Congress of Liabach, and Congress of Verona are some of the noteworthy meetings of this Concert of Europe. However, the Concert of Europe could not solidified its foothold because of stern opposition from Great Britain and Monroe doctrine of USA.
