Backpacking Pakistan: Naltar Valley, the sapphire-blue lakes of Satranji & Naltar, and the most magical sunset at Eagle’s Nest. Part 2 of my journey through northern Pakistan.
We started the morning in the quiet stillness of Naltar Valley, surrounded by mountains and fresh air. After exploring the unbelievable tones of Satranji Lake and Blue lake, and taking a beautiful snowy hike through the valley, we made our way towards the Hunza region.
By the time we reached Karimabad, I instantly understood why everyone falls in love with this part of Pakistan. We wandered the town, bought a new sapphire ring, and ate the most INCREDIBLE walnut cake, honestly a life-changing cake experience.
We ended the day with a hike to Eagle’s Nest for sunset. Had a BBQ, listened to local music around the fire and it felt like one of those rare travel moments you know will stay with you forever.
