HERRINGBONE Wig-wag (tie dye)

As part of my experiment, I came up with the Herringbone Pattern Tie Dye Tutorial. It's like a Wig-wag tie dye but the dye application is different.. I hope you like it. Enjoy!

How to Liquid Dyeing
1.) Pre-wash the shirt(100% cotton) with detergent.
2.) Soak the shirt in Soda Ash for atleast 30 minutes.
Soda Ash mixture(1 cup per 1 gallon.) Note: Soda ash is reusable.
3.) Make sure the shirt is damp before folding it (for liquid dye)
4. Fold the shirt according to the desired design(Spiral, Scrunch, & etc..,)
5.) For Liquid, Dye and Water ratio.
Black- 4tsp dye powder to 100ml water
Other color - 2tsp dye powder to100ml water
Note* It depends on the shade you want to achieve. The more dye the darker shade, the more water the lighter shade.
6.) Apply the Dye using a squeeze bottle needle tip. Once done put it inside the plastic bag and set it aside for 48hrs. This process is called the curing process.
7.) After 48hrs rinse the shirt in running water. you can use Zonrox colorsafe or synthrapol to avoid bleeding..
