Is the Isle of Kerrera the best wee island in Scotland?

It has to be one of the most accessible, just a 5 minute drive south of Oban on the west coast and then a 5 minute ferry over to the other side. There's no vehicles allowed while visiting Kerrera, so you'll need to hike around, but at only 4 miles long, it's small enough to explore on foot!

I'll share the story of how King Alexander II ignored prophetic dreams to invade Kerrera, dying at Dal Righ and how Clan MacDougall built and lost the incredible Gylen Castle in just 65 years. Aside from the stories, there aren't many more peaceful places to walk in Scotland!
