🚴♂️ I went car camping in my new 4WD and took the gravel bike out to Dryandra Woodlands in Western Australia for a 40km loop ride. Dryandra Woodlands has a history shaped by its valuable mallet trees, used for leather tanning, which led to extensive logging and later, the establishment of plantations. From a settlement for forestry workers, it became a conservation area after the tannin industry declined, and a large part of the state forest was designated a national park in 2021. It also has deep cultural significance for the Traditional Owner group, the Wiilman people.
I'm getting a lot of requests for my routes. You can get the gps files by following my 'Ride with GPS' or 'Strava'.
