Comparison of various white balance targets for in-camera white balance setting for infrared / mixed infrared & visible / ultraviolet photography / video.
The first set of comparison looks at photos taken with the Lee 101 filter (mix of visible and infrared light) with a hue shift applied in post. This comparison includes more information on use of the white balance targets than the other comparisons.
The next set looks at white balancing with the different targets when a Zomei 720nm filter (Infrared) is used.
The third set of comparisons was made with the 'Candy Chrome' filter, a mix of visible and infrared, but no hue shift or other changes made in post.
The fourth set tests a smaller selection of targets, showing how they compare when used on a lens that has a diffuse infrared hotspot.
The fifth set of tests compares the targets when used for ultraviolet photography / video.
Comparisons were carried out using a Full spectrum modified Canon R5.
