Tullahoma Police Investigate Shooting that Left Teen Dead - Roger Susanin

Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.TULLAHOMA, Tenn. - Investigators are trying to figure out if a 73 year old Tullahoma man defended himself or committed murder when he allegedly gunned down his 17 year old neighbor. The shooting happened last night and threatens to divide the Coffee County community. William Stephens did everything he could, but it didn't make a bit of difference. He couldn't save 17 year old Austin Ferrell. Tuesday night in Tullahoma William and his girlfriend Kandi Stamper watched in horror from their house next door as an argument between Ferrell and a couple that share a duplex morphed into violence. William says after one of the women that lives on one side of the duplex cursed at Ferrell, he walked up to the door and everything changed.The shattered glass is still there on the front porch and you can actually see the bullet holes through the door. William says that Austin fell just a few steps from where he was hit and he died in Williams' arms. One bullet killed Ferrell and the other hit the teenager's uncle in the right arm. Police have not decided whether the alleged 73 year old shooter will be charged.
