Besides a magnet or scale, a quick bounce on a table can identify a 95% Copper Cent vs. a modern day 97.5% Zinc Cent.
Listen for the ping, if no ping, it’s likely one of the 97.5% Zinc.
The above bounce technique is useful for the 1982 transition year.
