20th Century Fox's new comedy film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates will document the Stangle brothers' roller coaster ride as they take Tatiana and Alice on a free trip to Hawaii and get annihilated at their own "bro" games.

"In this one, I'm the one who's acting crazy," Kendrick, who is typically known for portraying the voice of reason, told On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday. "It was awesome ... [Alice's character] is like, you find a nice girl to bring home to mom and dad, and then it turns out that she wants to take drugs and run around naked and communicate telepathically with horses and stuff!"

In contrast to her irreverent character, Kendrick will also star in DreamWorks Animation's Trolls as the voice of Poppy. While promoting the film in Cannes in May, the actress and her costar Justin Timberlake treated the audience to an unplugged rendition of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors." Kendrick never thought she'd ever sing a ballad with the pop icon and admitted to feeling un-famous standing next to him.

"You think you're doing all right in the world, you think you're carving out a little corner of the universe to call your own, and then you do some press with Justin Timberlake and you're like, 'Oh right, I'm meaningless!'" she joked. "It was so cool and so amazing, but when someone is that famous, you're like, 'Holy crap, I ain't s**t!'"

"We play hard-partying, crazy dudes and they ruin family events," Efron told On Air with Ryan Seacrest over the phone on Friday. "They were given the final ultimatum to bring two good girls to their sister's wedding."

On Plaza and Kendrick's characters, he said the two play scammers "who pose as really nice girls and the perfect wedding dates, and they end up being total different people then we expect."
