In this video 🎥
Starting at the car park our aim was to get to the summit of the Cader Idris via the Minffordd path but with the winds picking up and the tops shrouded in Clag we decided to retreat for an attempt on the summit on a brighter day!
This area is absolutely stunning and though we didn't tick off the mountain we very much enjoyed our time out together exploring the Tal-y-llyn lake and the waterfalls that cascade from it down into the valley below.
This is a fabulous family walk, and our teenage girls enjoyed the climb up....(these two are typical teens, not outdoors types at all)
Taking about 2 hours at a slow relaxed pace.
