Jeopardy! is one of the most iconic and memorable game shows ever invented. The creation of this show was the crowning achievement of Merv Griffin, who also created the show Wheel of Fortune. The intense quiz show filled with amazing prizes and tricky questions first aired on March 30th, 1964 on NBC. The original show ran until January 3rd, 1975. From there, a few revival versions of the show were released, but none of them really stuck until the version that was released on September 10th, 1984. This updated version of Jeopardy! was wildly successful, and it is still airing today.

Overall, over 8,000 episodes of the beloved show have aired, and the show's creators can always count on a large audience to tune into every single one. The show holds the record most Daytime Emmy Award ever earned, with an impressive 39 wins and even more nominations!

The simple yet intriguing concept of Jeopardy! is so popular that many spin-offs have been created in other countries. The game show itself is well-designed and incredibly fun to watch. However, a game show can only really be as good as its host.
