Cucanandy is a slip jig, a folk song from Ireland. The origins of this tune are unclear, but it is believed to be a “baby dandling” song, or a song where you might gently and playfully bounce a baby on your knee. Native Irish of a certain age have told me they learned it as a child so that origin seems to be supported. Played here on the Wild blackwood D whistle.
