Trump administration officials will brief reporters Thursday afternoon after the FBI made an arrest in its nearly five-year-old probe of who placed pipe bombs near the offices of the Democratic and Republican national committees in 2021.
The news marks the latest movement in the investigation of the incident, which occurred the evening before the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. The FBI did not share any additional information about the suspect.
The press conference will be led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro.
It is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EST.
