Back at the height of summer a few of got together to celebrate the solstice by hike-a-biking to to the top of Mt Askom and riding back down.
Talk about an epic descent! The views alone made the trek up top worth it even if the wind did almost blow us off the ridge. It was backcountry biking at its finest. Starts out with raw alpine shale slowly turning into steep, technical single track. Then eventually it smooths out yet keeps the steepness theme going before finally mellowing out a bit in pitch but not in fun factor before finally meeting up with the popular Lower Della Creek.
I only included the highlights in this video since the descent is over 1300 meters of vertical. That and the wind was devastating to the audio ;) Enjoy!
