W.S. Darley Screamer S-7.5 Noon Blast (Short Alert) | Granton WI

So today since I had the day off, I decided to head to this Screamer in Granton. I’ve wanted to head to this siren for a while but I just haven’t been able to, even though it’s not that far from me. I got here at around 11:50AM so I had to set up kind of quick. I settled on some gravel road where not too much traffic was coming through. Before the test, some dude in a Chevy Malibu pulled up to one of the buildings next to the siren and seemed to be either picking up stuff or delivering stuff. I started recording and about 10-15 seconds after noon, this siren fired up. It really wasn’t loud at all which I kind of expected since I’ve heard these 9 port Screamers aren’t that loud. After the test I didn’t hear Neillsville SuperBanshee going off for its 1-minute blast so that confirms that the timer did get fixed. I packed up my stuff and was getting a few more pictures before heading out when that same guy started talking to me. He asked what I was recording and I told him I was filming the tornado siren. He seemed pretty shocked about it and asked a few more questions. I then headed to another siren enthusiasts house to pick up some control cabinets that I’ve been trying to get for a while. I then went bowling with my dad and he absolutely kicked my ass. Anyways, I’m pretty happy with the video I got of this siren. I also ended up using CapCut to edit this video so tell me how it looks since I was using Microsoft ClipChamp and I didn’t really like it. Now that school has started, there will not be as many siren videos but I’m gonna do my best to have at least 2 videos a month. Enjoy!
