In the Gospel of Matthew chapter chapter two, we are told of a story, where Herod sets out to kill all male children under the age of two years. He does this because he wants to kill the Messiah, to prevent any opposition to his rule. Joseph is forewarned and Jesus is saved, but Herod does his ghastly deed. This is also foretold by the prophet Jeremiah. This passage begs us to deal with the difficult questions of foreknowledge and determinism. Does God know foreknow future events and did he in fact decree this event to take place. These are the tough questions I deal with in this video.
