Aqua Centre Water Park Menorca | Things to Do In Cala n Forcat

Join us as we spend the afternoon in the Cala n Blanes Aqua Centre, situated between Cala en Blanes and Cala n Forcat on the stunning island of Menorca.
We went there for a 3-hour afternoon session which starts at 3pm as opposed to the whole day sessions which are also available. Cost for 2 x adults and 2 x children was approx. €40. A full day which ticket which gives you access from 10am till 6pm for a family of 3, will cost you approx. €88.
Things to note: There are quite a few sun loungers scattered throughout the park, but you will need to get there early if you want to get them! But there is plenty of grass space allowing you to lay towels down so you can give yourself a base and somewhere to top up your tan. And shade is quite minimal, a few parasols here and there – with the Menorcan sun being quite intense in the summer months, this may give you another reason to try and get there early.
And…To go on any of the 4 main slides, there is a minimum height restriction of 120cm. Our 6-year-old Daughter Amy was just tall enough, which was a blessing, or she would have been very unhappy.
So, what do you have at the Cala en Blanes Aqua Centre and is it worth parting with your hard earned money?
You have a great main pool, which various in depth, approx. 10 inches to 40 inches, so although nice it is not suitable for diving.
You have two chutes, which our kids loved as did we, although only they were only about 15ft -20ft in length they still shot you down at great speed ensuring that you got fully soaked at the bottom.
You have a small jacuzzi area in the main pool that was also relaxing, and allowed the adults some chill out time away from the constant splashing.
There is a shallow pool with various slides that are ideal for toddlers and children up to about the age 8 and then you also have the 4 main slides.
You have the Black Hole (Green Slide) – this allows people to go in pairs on the rings provided. Basically, feels like a tunnel of doom in darkness as you cannot see anything except the sense of being completely lost and in the hands of gravity.
The Kamikaze (Red Slide) – No ring required, this is just you on your butt and a huge drop in darkness. Not for the feint hearted or those new to water slides. It is not as long as the others but does have the biggest drop.
Adventure River (Blue Slide) – A slide that requires a single seater ring and is a twisting fest, which was popular with the older kids
Giant Slide (Yellow Slide) – No ring required. Just sit down and let gravity take you. This is probably the longest slide and all of us loved it as we did not have to carry any rings and could just go round and round.

You have snack bar, which does get quite busy, so be prepared to Queue, but you can purchase burgers, hotdogs, ice creams and drinks from. There is a small seating area under the shade next to it but again, you may have to queue to get a seat.
So how did we find it?
We would recommend the 3-hour session as opposed to the full day.
For us and our kids we loved it, but 3 hours of whizzing up steps and downslides was enough. A full day would have been too much. We also met other people who had older children eg 13-14, and they told us that there children got bored quite easily, so it is something that you need to weight up. For 6 -12 year old great, younger and they will be restricted, older and they may not be impressed…
