The fine citizens of Morwell wanted to see the lake returned to its former glory. With limited access and surrounded by a retaining wall, options for achieving the job were limited. Short of draining the lake and spending huge amounts of on cranes and swamp dozers etc, there seemed little hope.
Envirocom were able to provide a solution, With the use of our Menzi Muck spider excavator we were able to climb down the retaining wall into the water and scoop out the reeds. Traversing areas up to 2 meters deep with silt and mud up to over 1.5meters deep. All our machines operate using biological oil to ensure any mishaps or leaks however unlikely are environmentally friendly. “The ducks and birds don’t seem to mind the new surroundings and were busy pecking around in the mud during the reed removal”
