Hypoxemia, cerebral palsy, marasmus, secondary anemia.These are just some of the life threatening ailments doctors found in 8 year-old Richelle Largo of Libertad Extension in Barangay 40. In such an early age, Richelle’s body is now bound by a number of conditions that started when she was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease a month after she was delivered.
Richelle’s mother Marilyn recalled that Richelle’s life revolves inside the Intensive Care Unit where at one time, they had stayed for almost 7 months only to find out that her condition was deteriorating.
The MKK medical assistance program became the saving grace for Richelle’s family. From financial assistance to her hospitalization, the program has been helping them in their daily fight to save Richelle’s life.
