How To Turn A Pen from start to finish. Whether you are a beginner or have been a turn for a long time, pen turn is fun and easy. The wood that I used is cocobolo, which is native to South America. This pen is a slimline styled pen, which is skinny and is in two parts.
The blanks in this video are 1 x 1 x 2.25 but 3/4 is the best way so you do not waste as much wood. The friction polish gives the wood a shiny finish but through use the finish will have a nice patina.
Turning a pen on the lathe can be fun. It is also a great item to bach out so you can sell at craft shows. I hope you found that this video was helpful. So now turn your lathe on and make something.
