The story of Naheed Niazi becoming a singer is also very strange. The incomparable musician Khwaja Khurshid Anwar was composing the music for “Zehr Ishq”. He wanted to borrow all the songs of “Zehr Ishq” from Madam Noor Jahan, but Madam Noor Jahan was not ready. The reason for this was that Madam Noor Jahan was also acting along with singing at that time. That is, she was also a singer-cum-actress at that time. Noor Jahan was eager to play the role in “Zehr Ishq” that was given to Mussrat Nazir. Khwaja Khurshid Anwar tried everything possible to convince Noor Jahan to sing the songs of his film, but she failed. Disappointed, he chose Iqbal Bano for one of the songs of “Zehr Ishq” “Mohe Piya Malan Ko Jaane De”. The song was recorded, but Khwaja Sahib was not satisfied. In fact, Khwaja Sahib was not satisfied with the singing of any singer other than Madam Noor Jahan. Khwaja Sahib contacted Indian singer Geeta Dutt because he was a great admirer of Geeta Dutt’s talent. In India, Geeta Dutt had sung many songs for the films “Nishanah” and “Neelam Pari” in the music of Khwaja Khurshid Anwar. Geeta Dutt supported singing the songs of “Zehr Ishq”. This created an uproar in the Pakistani film industry. Khwaja Sahib was pressured to give preference to Pakistani singers. In these circumstances, Khwaja Sahib decided to introduce a new voice. He started training Naheed Niazi, the daughter of his friend Sajjad Anwar Niazi. And thus Naheed Niazi (real name Shahida Niazi) became a playback singer and the film industry got a beautiful and unique voice. Call it coincidence or something else, Naheed Niazi and Geeta Dutt’s singing style was very similar. The song “Mohe Payamal Ko Jaane De” from “Zehr Ishq” was sung by Naheed Niazi and sang it so high that it became her identity.
After this, the songs of Khwaja Sahib's film "Jhumar" took Naheed Niazi to the sky of fame. This song sung by him in "Jhumar" is considered a classic. "Chilli Ray, Chilli Ray, Chilli Ray" with great َanticipation.

After that, she formed her own team with her husband Muslehuddin (musician) and the two of them created many great songs. The efforts of both of them proved fruitful and their songs received great acclaim.

Naheed Niazi's husband, the late Muslehuddin, was a Bengali. After the creation of Bangladesh in 1971, rumors spread in West Pakistan that Bengali husbands would abandon their Pakistani wives. Rumors also began to circulate that Naheed Niazi's marriage was also in danger. But these rumors died down. After that, Naheed Niazi and Muslehuddin decided to settle in the UK. They started a new life in the UK.

After the death of Muslehuddin in 1911, Nahid Niazi went into seclusion.

They have two children who live in the US and UK. Naheed Niazi should be counted among those singers who sang less but sang beautifully the more they sang. She never tried to gain cheap fame. She is not only a beauty, but at the same time she is also a principled and stylish woman. At present, she is living a very content and happy life in the UK.
