Cherokee is one of those racetracks that is known by dirt racers across the country. "The Place Your Mama Warned You About"
The half-mile dirt oval in Gaffney, South Carolina, has a big reputation and it was finally time for us to face the music and make a first attempt at racing there.
Safe to say, we were punching above our weight when we showed up to race with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series having to go toe-to-toe with some of the best drivers in the country like Clay Harris, Chris Ferguson and Ben Watkins.
Unfortunately, this time was a learning experience more than anything. That being said, the only way we are going to get to that level is by stepping up to the plate over and over again.
