Kelyacho halwo is a Goan delicacy that is made for diwali and ganesh chaturthi.In Goa this halwa is known as myndoli kelyacho halwo.To make perfect halwa you need to take ripe bananas and not raw or overripe.As this is simple to make you can make it any day and have it with puri or chapati or you can even eat it like a sweet dish.
Haldi leaf is added to sweet dishes as it adds an aromatic and distinctive flavour to the dish. If you have dry haldi leaf you can also use it.
Ingredients
5-6 Bananas
8 green elaichi (you can even take more if you like)
2tbspn ghee
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 haldi leaf (optional)
1cup water
