Quick Chamfer Tutorial: Dividing Objects into Segments

In this short tutorial, learn how to efficiently use the Chamfer tool in 3ds Max to divide objects into separate segments. The video consists of two parts, each demonstrating a different application of the Chamfer tool.

In the first part, we start with a long beam and add 30 additional lines. Using Chamfer with the 'Open Chamfer' option enabled, we increase the distance using the 'Edge Chamfer Amount', resulting in 30 distinct segments with space between them.

In the second part, we apply a similar technique to create a wooden fence. By adding 8 additional lines to the fence and applying Chamfer with the 'Open Chamfer' option, we quickly generate eight individual segments resembling wooden planks.
